​"An Analysis of Disney’s Tangled (Theatre Play)"

The Status Quo of the story Tangled is when Repunzel- Elisha Ainsley the actress, is born the princess. When Mother Gothel- Katie Whetsell the actress, kidnaps her and brings her into a tower, where she is hidden. Gothel kidnapped her because of Repunzel’s magical hair that glows when she sings a song and makes her young again. Inciting incident, when a man named Flynn Rider - Nick Pankuchm, the actor, went inside Rapunzel's tower and promised her to bring Rapunzel to the floating lights in agreement to give back his crown.

The middle, Flynn, and Rapunzel have to encounter is Mother Gothel,  who wants her in the tower only, the two brothers who want their revenge, the royal guards, and the horse, Maximus who wants Flynn to go to jail or die. The break, when Flynn and Rapunzel separate because The brothers got him and had revenge. Then the brothers cornered and pretend to beat Rapunzel up and Mother Gothel come in the way pretending to save her just like she planned.

The climax, when Flynn is in the hands of the Royal guards to be beheaded or  hung but then the people from The Snuggling Ducklings help him get out from the jail thanks to Maximus who told them and surprisingly sided with Flynn. When Flynn arrives back to Rapunzel's tower and goes inside then quietly, Mother Gothel stabs him. This is the falling action when Flynn got a wound and Rapunzel agrees to stay in the tower if she was able to save Flynn. She sings the song to heal him when Flynn cuts her hair until on his last breath because he doesn’t want Rapunzel to stay with Gothel and be used because of her hair.

The resolution, because Flynn cuts Rapunzel's hair, the spell reversed and Gothel became older and older, then in the play, she fell from the tower from the window and died forever. The suns in the set of the play lighted up then Flynn was brought back to life. Then next scene, she was reunited with her mother and father who are the queen and king and she has crowed the princess. Then she got married to Flynn. His real name is Eugene Fitzherbert then it Happily Ended. During the play we watchedas a class, Disney Cruise Tangled Musical Play, as I was watching, it is a good play. They put so much effort of every detail for the play, example the props, the costumes they are wearing, the choreography, Repunzel’s hair. The props that look very professional. The costumes are good enough though I’m not sure if the costumes cost a lot, I’m pretty sure that whole play cost alot. The next props that caught me is Repunzel's hair and how she manages to wear that wig. 

As an art student and still developing. I’m not sure how they made it, but I love it and it even lights up! I love it because that’s one of the main reason why she’s Rapunzel and in the story she has to have long hair until Flynn cuts it. I wanted to have a long hair before as a child, and yes as long as Rapunzel, until I found out how hard it is so I ended up having short hair and a boyish hair once in my life which everyone thought I was a real boy beside how I was acting.  The costumes are good though I’m not sure if the costumes cost a lot, I’m pretty sure that whole play cost a lot and it’s exactly how they look.
