Art made by Juan Novicio Luna

August 15, 2017 The day I met Local Artist with the class.
When I first saw them entering the art studio, I felt so lucky, and my first impression about them are very high, in terms of status. They are professionals while I'm just a student still trying to learn who I really am. At first I don't really know much of Sir Anjo Balardo and Sir Ral Arrogante, but they surprised me with all their hard work they shown, their talent, their work of art, that brought their imaginations in reality. They are all humans that gave their all through challenges that God gave them, that's why they are who they are right now, successful, even though Sir Arrogante did not know that he would end up being a Sculptor and Environmentalist Artist, but using his own two hands he made sculptures from his imagination and with whatever he can make out of junk materials.
While Sir Balardo, was stuck challenged because he was stuck with his old art style before and he had to keep moving on after three years he expand his learning about art, he experiment more about what he can do, even though to some people he already looks like a crazy person, but what he actually did gave color, beauty to that specific place and it's just art, for those who doesn't understand art they have a shallow thinking.
Miss Armie Millare, I learned from her that, you can be rejected a lot of times, but there will be one who will not. There is really hope for everything in life, you just have to keep trying and moving on. I love how she did all her best, when thy were still a group of rookies until they are a group of Philippine Artists.
What struck me the most during the conversation with emerging artist in the Philippines, was basically what they went through and tips about when being an artist.
As a student artist, I can apply my talents in creating my imaginations into reality just like my art works during school projects. Now that I learned it is not easy, but in the end I will feel happy, especially when I can express my self through art. Now I want to expand my skills, talent throughout this school year. In conclusion, I feel so happy I met inspiring artist who a lot of other Filipino friends of mine wants to meet them. I feel like I want to be like them and inspire more children to be successful with whatever they can do, and for the county and society. It just feels like this is just the start, and I thank God for the first step.
